Our Trip to Malta November 23 – 29, 2025
Flying Together
We were so excited to fly! Sitting on the plane with our friends felt really special. We laughed, looked out the window, and couldn’t believe we were going to Malta.
First Impressions
Wow, people drive on the left side and super fast! The roads were steep and narrow, and we thought, “No way we could bike here.” We counted only five speed cameras on the whole island.

Exploring the City
Walking through the city, we saw Christmas trees everywhere, even though it was November. The houses looked different—beige stones, big blocks, and sometimes half‑finished buildings. Some even had swimming pools on the roof. We laughed at the funny plugs in the walls.

School Visit
The school was huge and old. Only boys studied there, and it was very Catholic—priests even lived at the school! The boys played really rough games, which surprised us. We also met older students from groups 11 and 12.

Fun Activities
This day was amazing! We went to an adventure park, made ravioli, and baked ftira bread. We felt proud learning new things.

Host Family Life
Our host family was so kind. They let us do lots of things and cooked delicious food. Our host kid Dean has Down syndrome, and we had so much fun with him—playing ping pong, basketball, and football. He liked us a lot, and we liked him too!

Everyday Discoveries
We learned you can’t drink water from the tap. Souvenirs were super expensive, and paying by card was almost impossible—everyone uses cash. And one funny thing: they put tons of cheese on their food.

What We’ll Remember
Malta was full of surprises—fast cars, steep roads, kind people, old houses, and yummy food. We laughed, we learned, and we had the best time with our friends. This trip will stay in our memories forever.
