We were in Spain with the teachers. When we arrived at that school on Monday, we immediately saw that they were busy separating waste.
They had made a song and to that song they started drumming on buckets and recycled bottles.
They had many trees in the schoolyard and played outside for a long time, and they also had a vegetable garden.
They also had a projector instead of a digital board, because that produces less power, and a chalkboard.
They had no bag rack or coat rack, because they had to hang their bag and coat on their chair.
At school they ate a lot of vegetables, vegetable soup, vegetable wrap and sometimes fruit for lunch and they drank a lot of water.
When we got our fruit, it wasn’t until eleven o’clock and it was also very normal to take a sandwich, something tasty or cookies with us. At the host family we had a very nice breakfast, which was usually cookies, fruit, bread, eggs and milk and if you asked for normal milk you sometimes got warm milk.
We went for a lot of walking during the activities and a few children Vagé, Candela and Olivia always accompanied us to the activities, they were super nice and we had a nice time with them.
We are super grateful that we were able to do this.
