Our Malta Trip 26-5/1-6
Day 1 (Sunday)
On Sunday we need to go early to the airport so we need to get up at 7;30 AM. When we arrived at the airport we waved goodbye to our parents. We flew for three and a half hours. When we arrived we saw our host family for the first time. We rode with the car to their home and saw our room. We were a little bit lazy so we chilled. Later we went to Mdina. There were some old buildings and we also ate there in a restaurant. Then we rode back to the host family’s home. When we arrived at their home we als go to a party with fireworks. When we went back we packed our bags for the next day of school.
Day 2 (Monday)
We got up at 5;30 AM because we had to go to school. When we arrived at school we needed to wait one hour because if there is some file then you’re not late. school begins at 7;30 AM. When the teachers arrived at school we went to the town from the school. They had plants with oranges and lemons. We had picked a few out of the trees and we put them in the bag. When we’re done we presentate for seventy people. During the last two hours of school, we went to the three cities (Senglea). Then the school ended And we went back with the van to the host family’s house and we ate some pancakes that the mother made. Later that day we went to the beach with the host family and we ate with the host family some fries and a bbq burger.
Day 3 (Tuesday)
We got up again at 5;30 AM and went to school. From there we went by boat to Comino and met a man who is the only person in all of Comino then we went by boat to Gozo and we had lunch and swam there at the beach. Then we went back to Malta. When we got back at the school we went back with the van to their house and we played some dutch games. Then we ate pasta with salmon. We also played a game with the children from the host family. Then we packed our bags again for school.
Day 4 (Wednesday)
We were allowed to get up later because the father of the host family took us to school. When we arrived at school we had to take a math lesson. When we were done with that we went to an art class and were allowed to paint clay souvenirs and take them home. Then we had a final workshop where we had to put all the photos from so far into a video. Later we made lemonade from the lemons we picked on Monday. We went back home and played a few Dutch games with the host family, then they took us to a town where we went shopping. We also had dinner there at Burger King and then we went back and went to sleep.
Day 5 (Thursday)
we have to get up early again just like normal. When we arrived we immediately took the bus to the coast where we took a ferry back to Gozo. There is a tomato factory in Gozo that we visited. Then we went straight to a catered area. When everyone had been inside for a while, we continued to a mill. There we were given an explanation of how everything works. Then we went for lunch near there (chicken nuggets). Opposite the lunch restaurant was a beach where we went swimming. Our host family had chosen to stay there instead of going back to their home. After we had had a swim there, we went to buy some souvenirs. We both had a few souvenirs. Our host family took us by car to an expensive restaurant where we decided to all choose something and then share. When we wanted to take the ferry back we had to wait for the boat so we went to karaoke and had a fun party in the car while we waited for the boat. When the boat arrived we went back and went to sleep.
Day 6 (Friday)
We first have to gather at school because then we went for a walk to a water factory where you could play all kinds of sustainability games. After a while we had time to have lunch and when we were done with it we went back to school and went back to their house with the host family and played some more Dutch games. And we got ready for the party because it is the last day in Malta. Then we came home late so we had to sleep early.
Day 7 (Saturday)
We had to get up very early, at 5:00 AM, but luckily we had packed our suitcases like yesterday, so we set an alarm clock and woke up with a bowl of yogurt and went to the airport where everything else was. Once we checked in we had some time to buy some food and drinks for the plane. Once everyone had done that, we went to the gate and had a 3.5 hour flight. When we arrived we went to the baggage hall where our parents were standing, our parents were both standing with a balloon.
