ERASMUS+ GREECE (21st-26th april)
Four students from 6th grade and 2 teachers from the CEIP El Peralejo in Alpedrete travelled to
Kolindros (Greece) from the 21st to the 26th of april within the Erasmus+ Project.
Students stayed with two host families so they had the opportunity to experience the Greek
lifestyle both inside and outside the school.

On the first day, we visited the school and enjoyed the welcome ceremony the school and the
families had prepared for all of us. In the evening, we visited the folklore museum of Kolindros.
During the second day and because of the rainy weather, we made good use of our time
sharing with other students and teachers ideas and activities related to sustainibily that each
of us develop in our schools.
On the third day, we travelled to Thessaloniki, the second biggest city in Greece and enjoyed
the view of its shore travelling in a pirate boat. We had the chance to taste “Kulurri” a typical
round bread.
On the fourth day, it was the time to visit the ancien city of Vergina and the city of Katerini and
its beach. We could not swim because of the weather, but we could, at least, enjoy the
atmosphere of a seaside city. In the evening, we enjoyed with Greek families and teachers in a
farewell karaoke party.
On our last day and Easter´s holidays Eve, students made an Easter canddle and painted a red
egg, both typical Greek tradictions in that period of the year. Moreover, we planted flower in
the school garden, learn how to prepare a typical Greek salad and have a meal together:
teachers, students and families.

During those days, we could not only enjoy visiting new places and meeting new people but
also learning more about the Greek culture and their traditions in the countryside.
Spending time in a small town as Kolindros brought us the opportunity to be in contact with its
people, being part of their daily routines, enjoying their delicious food and benefiting from
being one of them for a week.
We left in Kolindros several life-experiences, many friends and lots of unforgettable memories.
