Erasmus Italy May 24-29, 2026
At the end of May 2026, we, Daphne and Pauline, traveled to Cesena, Italy, together with 8 girls from Group 8. There, we were warmly welcomed at the Don Carlo Barino school. A small school in a beautiful green area. At this school, the environment is treated with care and nature is cared for. For instance, there is a school garden where various vegetables and fruits are grown.
A close-knit team with a heart for all children. Children with special needs are also excellently educated and cared for.
During a diverse program, we were introduced to the various aspects of space, the Earth, the Sun, and the planets.
We also visited cultural activities within the historic center of beautiful Cesena, including the cathedral, the old library (UNESCO heritage), and the town hall, where we were warmly received.
Our children were received very lovingly by the Italian host families, and valuable friendships were forged for life.
To conclude, we were able to enjoy a wonderful show performed by the entire school. How nice to see that the Dutch children were able to contribute to this through a dance.
