On the 19th February 2024, the IC Piedimonte San Germano received the visit of head master Diana Brouwer of the OBS De Plantage School of Houten, Holland, and of the Erasmus Coordinator of the same school Anton Verwey as part of the Erasmus Plus project. In December 2023 a delegation of our school was hosted in the Dutch school in order to observe their school system.
Headmaster Diana Brouwer and Erasmus coordinator Anton Verwey were greeted by the mayor of Piedimonte San Germano Mr Gioacchino Ferdinandi, and by the headmaster Pietro Pascale, by deputy headmaster Carla Tomassi and teachers who are part of the Erasmus Plus commission.
After a brief meeting, our guests were given a tour of some of our classes: from Terrarossa kindergarten complex, to Capoluogo Primary School complex, to Secondary School “Don Minzoni” complex. In each complex, teachers carried out one or more didactic activities in their normal school routine in order to show our guests our teaching methods, tools used in daily activities and strategies used for all students and in particular for students with Special Needs.
Our guests appreciated the reception and a new basis has been sowed for a future school exchange between students next year.
