On Sunday, October 15, we, ten teachers from primary school De Plantage (the Netherlands), traveled to Malta for an English language trip. Even though it is autumn break for the rest of the school, we got up early to go to school to take ETI’s Fluency and English Language Development lessons. Theresa, our English teacher, provided many different working methods so that we were continuously working on speaking English. Themes such as travel, ethics, school and climate were discussed. Interesting to talk about this with fellow students from Germany and Italy and hear their views on it.
At the end of the afternoon, after school, we often took the Bolt taxi to discover the island of Malta. We visited beautiful cities and places such as Mdina, Rabat, Valletta, Marsaxlokk, St. Peter’s Pool, Golden Bay and Mellieha. We often ended the day with Italian food. We are really impressed by the delicious food in Malta. To end the week, we ate a traditional delicacy, cannoli, together with Theresa and our fellow students and received our certificates.
